Although worship is an activity which is central to the life of the church, man's response to God is by no means restricted to the weekly gathering of God's people. God created all things and sustains all things, and so rules all things. The Bible provides a blueprint for how man is to image God in all of life.
Since God's Word is central to our worship, we leave worship refreshed and renewed by God's Spirit. We again enter the world and seek to be used by God to fulfill the Cultural Mandate and the Great Commission. We are encouraged by the truth that "all authority on heaven and earth has been given to our Lord Jesus Christ."
We are also comforted by the promise that the Lord Jesus Christ sits at God's right hand and subdues His enemies (Psalm 110:1).We embrace the image of God's Kingdom which like a mustard seed grows outwardly, visible in earthly individuals and institutions, and like leaven permeates and extends inwardly.
All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age. Amen.
